How do I change the time and/or date?
Changing Time:
Press FEATURE ; Press **8463 (same as pressing**TIME).
Press 22742 (BASIC) or 23646 (ADMIN)
Press CHANGE
Press the dial pad buttons to enter the hour. Use two digits for all hours. The clock on the display will show either one or two digits.
The display will prompt you to choose AM or PM Press CHANGE or OK to select.
Press NEXT (to get to the minutes)
Press CHANGE (to change the minutes)
Press the dial pad buttons to enter the minutes.
If you do not need to change the date then hit the Rls button.
Changing Date:
After you are done with the minutes in the above listed directions you will need to:
Press NEXT (this will take you to the year)
Press CHANGE (to change the year) press NEXT if the year is correct
Press the dial pad buttons to enter the year if you need to change it.
Press NEXT (to get to the month)
Press the dial pad buttons to enter the month if you need to change it. (use double digits)
Press NEXT (to get to the day)
Press CHANGE (to change the day of month)
Press the dial pad buttons to enter the day.
Press the Rls button to release when you are done.
How do I change the name of a telephone?
Press FEATURE, then Press **266344, the display will then read PASSWORD: RETRY you will need to enter 23646
Press SHOW
Enter the internal number (intercom number) of the telephone extension.
If the set has already been given a name, it will appear after DN: on the display.
Press SHOW then NEXT
This is the name the display will show if you don't change it. Press CHANGE
Decide what name you want to give the telephone number.
Press the telephone's numeric dial pad button that has the first letter of the name until the display shows the letter you want.
Press
Use the dial pad and until you have the entire name.
Press NEXT to use the name you have entered.
The name can be up to 7 characters long, including spaces.
Press Rls to end the session.
If the internal number I call is busy, but I have an emergency, how can I interrupt?
If you call a busy signal or a Do Not Disturb message when you call someone in your office, you can interrupt him or her. Use this feature for urgent calls only!
Making a Priority Call:
Press FEATURE 69
Wait for a connection, and then speak.
A person who receives a priority call while on another call has eight seconds to accept or block the call. For information on blocking call see "Stopping Calls."
If the person does nothing, the priority call feature puts their active call, including conference parties, on Exclusive Hold and connects your call.
Giving a telephone the ability to make priority calls:
Press FEATURE **266344
Press 23646 (the default System Coordinator password)
Press SHOW and enter the internal number of the telephone you wish to program.
Press SHOW twice.
Press NEXT nine times. The display shows Priority call:
Press CHANGE to choose Y (yes) or N (no)
Displays:
If the display shows CALL BLOCKED then the person you called has blocked your call try later.
If the display shows PLEASE WAIT then the party you called has 8 seconds to decide if they want to accept or reject your priority call.
If the display shows PRIORIY DENIED then the telephone you have called has either already received a priority call or is unable to receive priority calls.
YOU can make a priority call ONLY while your telephone displays:

Using Ring Again:
Use ring again when you call someone on your Norstar system and their telephone is busy or there is no answer. Ring again can tell you when they hang up or next use their telephone. You can also use Ring Again to tell you when a busy line pool becomes available.
To turn on ring again:
Press FEATURE 2 before you hang up.
Using Ring Again cancels any previous Ring Again requests at your telephone.

Displays:
CAN'T RING AGAIN - you cannot use ring again on your current call. You can only use ring again while you have a busy signal on an internal call or line pool request, or while an internal call is ringing.
RING AGAIN? (options yes, no or exit) - Press YES to use ring again, NO if you prefer to send a message.
How do I add or change a system speed dial?
You program a speed dial on your Norstar so that anyone in your office can dial a frequently used number using a two-digit code. (To change a speed dial that already exists, follow the same steps. The new programming will overwrite the previous number and settings.)
Begin the programming session:
Press FEATURE
Press **266344
Press 23646
Choose a speed dial code:
Press NEXT three times
Press SHOW
Press 0 1
You can pick any system speed dial code between 01 and 70
Press SHOW
Add or change the telephone number:
Press CHANGE
Use the dial pad to program the telephone number that you want to add. The telephone number can be up to 24 digits long.
Your display shows the telephone number.
Press OK
Select a line for speed dial code:
Press NEXT
Press CHANGE to see your options: Use Prime Line, a specific line (for example Use Line: 01), a line pool (for example Pool Code:71), or Use Routing tbl.
Stop pressing CHANGE when the display shows the prime line again.
EX: 
In this example, the system selects the prime line automatically (the most common choice), to dial speed code 01.
If you assign a specific line to a system speed dial number, only telephones with an appearance of that line can use the speed dial number.
Choose what shows up on display.
Press NEXT
Your choices are Yes and No. Yes means the display will show the telephone number.
Press CHANGE
No means the display will show a name for the code.
Program a name for a speed dial:
The system has a standard name to display, so it is not necessary for you to program one. However, if you have chosen not to display the telephone number, you may want a specific name.
Press NEXT
Press SHOW
This is the name the display will show if you don't change it.
Press CHANGE
Decide the name you want to give to the speed dial code.
Press the telephone's numeric dial pad button that has the first letter of the name until the display shows the letter you want.
Press
Use the dial pad and until you have the entire name.
The name can be up to 16 characters long, including spaces. Press # on the numeric dial pad to add spaces.
Press NEXT
Press Rls to end the session.
Or you can press HEADING twice to begin programming another speed dial number.
Entering letters and numbers using the dial pad:

How can I find out what an extension number is?
Press FEATURE * 0
Press the Intercom button the display will change to indicate Extension number and Name of set.

How do I program features or change features on my Norstar Telephone ?
Button Inquiry:
Release all calls and or any open lines.
Press Feature * 0
Press any button to determine or confirm, internal, external, or
features presently programmed.
(NOTE: To make changes follow directions outlined in step 4.)
Press Rls when finished.
Adjusting Display Contrast: (Models M7310, M7324, & T7316 Telephones)
Press Feature * 7
Press UP or DOWN for the level ou want.Press OK or Rls when finished.
Adjusting Display Contrast: (Models M7100, M7208, T7100, & T7208 Telephones)
Press Feature * 7
Press keys 1 thru 6 for the level you want.
Press Rls when finished.
Selecting Ring Type:
Press Feature * 6
Press 1, 2, 3, or 4 to hear the different types of rings.
While the telephone is ringing you can adjust the sound level by
pressing the volume control bar.
Press OK or Rls to store new ring and volume.
Programming Memory Buttons:
A. External Autodial: ( frequently dialed local or long distance numbers)
If you are on a call or an open line with dial tone, press HOLD or Rls.
Press Feature * 1
Press the memory button you want to program.
Enter the external number including area code for local,
or 1 + area code for long distance.
Press OK or Rls to store the number.
Label your new button.
B. Internal Autodial: (frequently dialed telephone extensions within your organization)
If you are on a call or an open line with dial tone, press HOLD or Rls.
Press Feature * 2
Press the memory button you want to program.
Dial the intercom number of the associated telephone.
Press OK or Rls to store the number.
Label your new button.
C. One Button Feature Code Access: (frequently used features such as last no. redial, transfer, voice call, park, page, group call pick up, call forward, voicemail open or voicemail transfer)
If you are on a call or an open line with dial tone, press HOLD or Rls.
Press Feature * 3
Press a memory button you want to program.
Press Feature and the feature code.

Label your new button.
